Q:
Is Draught Picks a mobile app?
Kinda. Draught Picks is what's called a progressive web application (PWA).
Basically, a PWA works very much like a mobile application without the strict oversight involved when working with app stores.
-
Q:
Can I find Draught Picks in the app stores?
Draught Picks is not available in any app stores because getting mobile apps in the app stores increases costs and limits functionality due to app store oversight.
Draught Picks can provide more functionality to users in less time in its current web application form, and is easier on the only person who supports Draught Picks.
Of course, a mobile app may be available in the future.
Don't worry, the information you give to Draught Picks is safe and secure, and only used to recommend your next favorite beer!
-
Q:
What does Draught Picks do?
Draught Picks gathers information about the beers you prefer, and develops a profile of your tastes using techniques known as machine learning and artificial intelligence.
These techniques finally put computers to good use, and are able to accurately recommend beers you would prefer.
Every profile is personalized to your tastes, and not shared between users.
In the long term, we hope to develop a large, crowd source database of beers and breweries, and create a community of beer lovers for all levels.
-
Q:
Aren't there apps that do this already?
Yep, sure is. There is nothing wrong with competition.
-
Q:
Can I make more than one profile?
Draught Picks only supports one beer profile at the moment. Plans are in place to enable this feature in the future.
-
Q:
How can help add more beers to Draught Picks' profiling model?
Draught Picks doesn't support creating beers at the moment. We hope to support this feature soon, and are working out the criteria around creating beers and breweries.
-
Q:
How do I change the description or name of a beer?
Draught Picks doesn't support changing the names or description of beers in the app at the momment. Feel free to
create an account and rate the beer with whatever you would like.
